Juvia smiled at Gray for his resolve but how he continues to second guess himself still bothered Juvia. It will only add more onto his stress which wouldn’t be very healthy for him at all. No matter what, she must stay by his side to give him the confidence to never doubt himself ever again after all Gray’s her soul mate. Even if it’s a slight push to get him up on his feet or even something so insignificant to keep that smile she adored so much to stay on his face. Juvia must make sure that Gray no longer doubts himself ever again.

Accepting his offer, Juvia slowly brought herself to the ground, raising her legs up to her chest so she may sit on the sand next to Gray. It’s been quite awhile that the two sat next to each other like this. Juvia held her head up into the skies as she closed her eyes. Images of events from the past ran through her mind. The fun and carefree days of the guild, how much she constantly tried to get Gray’s attention, how much she cried and got angry at Lucy because he was giving her more attention than her. 

“Time did went by so fast didn’t it Gray-sama.”

She looked back at Gray too see that smiling face only turn into a frown yet again. “Gray-sama?” 

“Gray-sama, whatever happens the both of us will tackle them straight on. Besides were not alone in this right?” She brought her hand over Gray’s chest. With her index finger, she trailed it over to his right side and pointed directly where his guild mark would be if he were to remove his shirt. “We’re still members of Fairy Tail right. We get through our challenges together right?”

A playful giggle escaped her mouth as she looked back out into the sea. 

Living together is indeed the reasonable approach. It would cut down both Gray and Juvia’s rent cost greatly and being in one house or perhaps an apartment would be a better living environment than having to raise their child in two separate places. 

“Gray-sama that a great idea. Finding a new home for the three of us will be perfect for our child.” As Gray continued to talk he continued to talk negatively about himself which Juvia did not like at all. She raised one finger and placed them over Gray’s lips.

She gazed into his eyes with a firm smile on her face. ”Gray-sama, it doesn’t matter how much you messed up in the past. What’s important now is that you’re here with Juvia. You’re here for our future and our child. That is all……that is all that will make Juvia happy. Nothing, nothing will ever make Juvia more happy than to have you here with me.” 

Gray listened to her voice, and when she reached over to point to his Fairy Tail mark, his expression softened and he looked into her eyes. She really was wonderful, and even though things had gone like they had, she still believed in them. She still believed in him, even though he fucked and got her pregnant while dumping her to be with someone else.

Juvia had every right to hate him and to shut him out while he scrambled to try and figure things out, but she wasn’t doing that. She was being Juvia, and Juvia was an incredible woman.

When he heard her say that she thought it was a good idea to live together too, he felt a weird rush of euphoria and excitement. He’d been afraid to really think of it before except in the most pragmatic terms just because he knew Juvia had every right to say no and be offended, but now, he could imagine them as a proper little family with a home together and a little baby.

Her finger pressed against his as she encouraged him yet again and reminded him that they were in it together, and he gave that finger a little kiss and then cautiously put an arm around her.

“I’m sorry. I’ve been worrying a lot lately, and I’ve been scared. Part of it was because I had a bad dream a while back where you died having the baby. I don’t know why I dreamed that, but I just…I know it’s going to be painful and scary and sometimes, women do die in childbirth and that’s something you’re going to be going through that in a few months. In my dream, you died and I felt like it was all my fault — like I killed you — because I’m the one who got you pregnant.”

“I can’t even think about it without feeling sick to my stomach. And even without that, I’m scared I’m going to hurt you, scared I’ll be a bad father, and scared that I’m just going to fuck everything up. I’m fucking shit. Even now, you’re the one that went through everything I put you through and you’re the one who is feeling sick from being pregnant, and I’m the one having problems. I never deserved someone like you, but I swear to God that I’m going to do everything I can to love you and the baby and take good care of you both.”
